AN exquisite 80-year-old Rolls-Royce has hit the market, and comes with a historic royal and military pedigree.
The 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III, once used to drive King George VI, General Eisenhower and Winston Churchill during WWII, is on sale with Cheshire Classic Cars for £199,995.
The "touring limousine" was used as Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery throughout the war, and was regularly used to ferry the King, Eisenhower and Churchill to secret D-Day planning meetings.

Initially requisitioned by the Ministry of War Transport Section from its original owner, the Phantom was later assigned to the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, General Carl Spaatz, following the Normandy landings in 1941.
Not only does it have a strong connection with royal and military history, the Phantom III is particularity iconic for Rolls-Royce as it was their first ever V12-engined car.
Described as possessing "tremendous torque and smoothness", this particular vehicle has recently had its 7338cc engine rebuilt, along with a newly-fitted overdrive for its four-speed gearbox.
