Harvey Weinstein ‘barged into ex-assistant victim’s home but was scared off by Chihuahua’

HARVEY Weinstein barged into his alleged victim’s home demanding she come to Paris with him – but was scared off by a pet Chihuahua, a court heard today.
The 21-stone Hollywood mogul was chased around Mimi Haleyi’s apartment by her roommate’s 12-inch pooch Peanut, his rape trial was told.
Miss Haleyi, a former production assistant for Weinstein Co, recounted earlier this week how Weinstein allegedly forcibly performed oral sex on her in New York in 2006.
She alleged he also raped her at a TriBeCa hotel in the Big Apple two weeks later.
But on one occasion he barged into Miss Haleyi's home demanding she come with him to Paris.
'THREATENED' BY TINY PUP
Her roommate Elizabeth Entin, giving testimony today, said: “She (Miss Haleyi) said that Harvey Weinstein showed up at our apartment and pushed his way into the apartment.
“We started laughing about it. My dog, my small Chihuahua Peanut was chasing him around and he was a little threatened by it.
"He said: ‘What’s that thing? Get it away from me.’”
The jury had already been shown a photo of Peanut - the dog had light brown fur and was about 12 inches long.
Weinstein by contrast would have been around 300lbs in weight.
Assistant District Attorney Hast said: “The defendant was scared of this little dog, Peanut.”

After her evidence, Weinstein denied he was terrified of a pet Chihuahua as he left his rape trial.
Asked about the dog as he hobbled from court, the movie mogul, 67, replied: “Do I look like I’m afraid of Chihuahuas?”
He denies rape, criminal sexual act and predatory sexual assault.
