TellTale’s Stranger Things game footage leaks as studio shuts down

FOOTAGE and concept art has leaked online giving a tantalising glimpse of what the now-defunct Telltale Games' Stranger Things game might have looked like.
The studio effectively collapsed last week, laying off most of its staff and cancelling all of its projects after it ran into financial difficulties.
The studio, best-known recently for their games based on The Walking Dead comics and TV series, was working with Netflix to bring narrative-driven games to the video sharing platform.
That included a Stranger Things title, which was announced in June.
Netflix told Polygon that while their Minecraft: Story Mode project would be finished what staff remained, the Stranger Things title would not.
The firm is currently "evaluating other options for bringing the Stranger Things universe to life in an interactive medium,” according to the statement provided to the video game news site.
The videos show a seemingly playable Will wandering around his house as his mum Joyce chats on the phone to Dr Owens, a character from the show's second season.
However, gamers and fans of the creepy series have been given a tantalising glimpse of what might have been courtesy of some leaked -- and unverified -- concept art and gameplay videos.
Responding to the leaks on Reddit, someone claiming to be a developer of the game , describing the assets as "unfinished and unpolished, and not representative of the final product."
The footage also shows a demogorgon hunting the player as they cower under a bed, giving a vague idea of that atmosphere the developers may have been going for as they tried to recreate the horror series.
Stranger Things season three is expected either towards the end of 2018 or at the start of 2019, but an exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Show creators the Duffer brothers revealed to that there will be a time jump which references to the 1985 film Back To The Future as the series focuses on the characters' journeys through adolescence.
Season three will also see the development of Mike and Eleven's romance after they kissed at the end of series two.
