MORNING Live star Kym Marsh shared an emotional post online to mark a devastating loss.
Actress and singer Kym, 48, has been part of the BBC show since it debuted in October 2020.
Taking to Instagram, the former Coronation Street actress marked the one-year anniversary of her dad David's death.
She penned: "One year ago today life changed forever.
"One year without you. One year of missing you. One year of missing your voice, your laugh, your silly jokes.
"In some ways it still doesn’t feel real Dad. Like you’re gonna walk back through the door any minute. I wish you would.

"I wish I could give you a cuddle one more time. I wish I could tell you how much I love you, and hear you tell me that you love me to Aldi and back as you always did."
Kym continued: "Just to hear your voice again would be the best gift ever. Life will never be the same.
"Learning to live without you is the hardest thing to do, you were everything to me and you always will be.
"I know you are always with me Dad. No matter what. You were always my biggest cheerleader and I know you will be there cheering me on always, helping me through tough times, and laughing at me when I make silly mistakes.

The star concluded: "Today the family will be together.
"Remembering you, sharing stories, telling your silly jokes and raising a glass to the best man there ever was!!
"There will never be another like you! My wonderful, wonderful Dad.
"I miss you so much. I love you with all of my heart.
"Always and forever. Your shadow."
Kym's comments section was soon flooded with followers sharing messages of support.

Kym Marsh's career so far

Actress, singer and presenter Kym Marsh has a career spanning almost three decades, across a wide variety of projects. Here is a look at Kym's body of work so far.
- Hear'say (2001-2002): Kym and the four other winners of reality TV series Popstars formed the band Hear'say. Her bandmates include Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster. She left the group in January 2002, with the brand breaking up months later.
- Coronation Street (2006-2019): Kym joined the cast of ITV soap opera Coronation Street in 2006, playing the character Michelle Connor. During her time in the soap, the character's storylines included marrying Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and discovering her son Ryan was not hers biologically - having been swapped with another baby at the hospital. Kym left Corrie in 2019, after 13 years.
- Popstar to Operastar (2010): She appeared in series one of this show - which saw eight stars known for singing pop music trained in how to sing opera. Fellow contestants included McFly's Danny Jones and The Saturdays' Vanessa White. Kym placed fourth overall; the now-late singer Darius was named the winner.
- Morning Live (2020 - present): Morning Live first debuted as a 40-part series to connect with viewers' real-life concerns and to offer trustworthy and expert advice. Kym co-fronted the show alongside Gethin Jones - the likes of Michelle Ackerley and Helen Skelton have since also come on board.
- Waterloo Road (2023 - present): Following Waterloo Road's revival at the Beeb, Kym was named among several new cast members joining the show. She portrays school canteen worker Nicky Walters.
