But whilst it is the contestants that are left sweating as they face the host in the hot seat, Jezza has admitted he too feels nervous for one particular aspect of the programme.

The Clarkson's Farm star has confessed he is "hopeless" when it comes to his very own lifeline on the show - Ask The Host.

During their quest for a million pounds, show hopefuls are able to call on Jeremy's knowledge to help them out with one of the questions but there is never a guarantee that he will know the answer.

Speaking about being handed in his own lifeline, the former Top Gear star said: "It’s still terrifying. This series I have been particularly hopeless.

"I was doing reasonably well on my average getting them right, but this series I have been really useless!"

When Jeremy is not feeling the nerves, he admits he can spot the players who are feeling the pressure from a mile off - but it sometimes only worsens how he is feeling if they do eventually call on him for help.

The star recalled: [Their nerves] comes off them like a big red glow! You can see nerves manifest.

"When they ask me a question, you think ‘what if I get this wrong and
the charity loses thousands of pounds?’ It’s terrifying."

Jeremy admitted that the most nervous celeb on the upcoming series is boxing champ and former I'm A Celebrity campmate Tony Bellew.

Speaking of Tony, he said: "I am not quite sure what emotion was going through him - nerves, rage, disappointment, acting, as I think he is a lot cleverer than he lets on.

"At one stage, he was having a class war with himself with the word ‘hobnob’."

Tony isn't the only famous face that fans will get to see on the upcoming run of the show with Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke and Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi also on the bill.

Those taking part in the very first episode include TV legend Stephen Fryradio star Richie Anderson and runner Jeanette Kwakye.

Other stars who will be seen across the show's run include former Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh, BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin, Dion Dublin, Steph McGovern and ITV News host Lucrezia Millirini.
