Top Gear reunion show release date revealed as cast get back together for The Not Very Grand Tour

DESPITE waving goodbye to the show last year, the cast of The Grand Tour are already gearing up for a very special reunion show.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May all found success thanks to BBC hit Top Gear before moving their efforts over to the Prime Video successor, The Grand Tour.
Fans across the globe were left devastated when it was confirmed that the trio would be waving goodbye to the show for good after they decided to end the Prime series last year with one final special show.
However, just eight months on, and a brand new reunion show has been confirmed to be in the works and fans don't even have to wait that long to get their hands on it.
Next month, Prime Video will broadcast the one-off special, The Not Very Grand Tour.
The programme has been created by director Phil Churchward, who worked on both Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
It is understood that the episode will be a look-back at nostalgic clips from the show's run with brand new commentary from both Richard and James.
Jeremy will only feature in archive footage and has not recorded any new scenes for the episode.
The episode will become available for streaming on Friday 18 April.
An episode synopsis teases: "In this episode, the team celebrate the combustion engine, with a look back at footage from past adventures and test drives."
News of the new show comes after Richard and James made a surprise return to the set of Top Gear - a decade after they last filmed in the studio.
As part of James May's YouTube series called Planet Gin, he and Richard, 55, returned to Top Gear's former studio in Dunsfold Aerodrome.
Reminiscing about their time at the location, the pair admitted their trip down memory lane might be "traumatising".
James, 62, told viewers: "Well that is the old Top Gear studio. And that is the old Top Gear green room."
Richard added: "Where we assembled, worked on scripts, had arguments. I feel funny. I feel funny as well. I felt really odd being here."
The men both reflected on the final time they were at the location before beginning to explore the green room.
How many seasons of The Grand Tour are there and where do they take place?
The Grand Tour launched on Prime Video in 2016 and quickly became one of the streamer’s biggest hits as hosts Jeremy, 63, James, 60, and Richard, 52, felt it was time they move on from Top Gear hit the road.
They have now brought five epic series of motoring adventures to the small screen, each taking place in different locations and even featuring celebrity guests.
