Amazon confirms first details of The Not Very Grand Tour – and fans won’t be happy

AMAZON Prime Video have released the first details of The Grand Tour's reunion specials.
A brand new special will be launching next month on the streaming service entitled The Not Very Grand Tour.
In addition, the streaming giant has confirmed that a further THREE specials are all in the works under the series name The Grand Tour-ish, but fans will have to wait much longer for them.
Just one will be released next month on Friday, April 18 followed by the other three later releasing across the rest of the year and into 2026.
The show has been teased as a comedic documentary style series with the trio taking a humours look back at some of their classic moments on The Grand Tour.
In the first episode, titled The Power and the Glory, Jeremy will be absent and only feature in archive footage from across the series as Richard and James celebrate the glory of the internal combustion engine.
The programme has been created by director Phil Churchward, who worked on both Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
However, some fans are likely to be left disappointed that they won't be getting a constant fix of The Grand Tour thanks to the sporadic episodes.
News of the new show comes after Richard and James made a surprise return to the set of Top Gear - a decade after they last filmed in the studio.
As part of James May's YouTube series called Planet Gin, he and Richard, 55, returned to Top Gear's former studio in Dunsfold Aerodrome.
Reminiscing about their time at the location, the pair admitted their trip down memory lane might be "traumatising".
James, 62, told viewers: "Well that is the old Top Gear studio. And that is the old Top Gear green room."
Richard added: "Where we assembled, worked on scripts, had arguments. I feel funny. I feel funny as well. I felt really odd being here."
The men both reflected on the final time they were at the location before beginning to explore the green room.
Here is a look at what's to come in the impending The Grand Tour-ish specials. Set to release throughout the year, the first episode will drop on Friday, April 18.
