Inside Maura Higgins’ VERY short Bafta appearance as she takes drastic action after Danny Jones kiss scandal

MAURA Higgins quit the TV Baftas early to avoid another awards do drama following her snog with McFly’s Danny Jones.
The Love Island star, 34, scarpered after an hour of the ceremony and was photographed sneaking into a taxi.
Wearing a backless white gown, Maura left during a filming break.
It came after the scandal in March when she was seen kissing married I’m A Celebrity campmate Danny at a Brit awards after-party.
A source said: “Maura wanted her red carpet return to be a big moment. She thinks enough time has passed — she can’t hide forever.
“She did just that in her big frock but she wasn’t prepared for the length of the ceremony or the cramped seating in the hot hall.
“She was talking about her dress taking up too much space and was absolutely boiling.
"So she snuck out with pal Luke Hamnett while a nominations reel was shown.
"It’ll be frowned upon in TV circles as the Baftas is an incredibly prestigious event and leaving is a big no-no.”
Another source told The Sun Maura also took off early because she had a shoot the next day.
In 2023, she was seen having a heated row with Islander Faye Winter at the National Television Awards.

The source said: “Maura always has great fun at events but there’s been a few mishaps so it was generally decided it was best that she did not stay on for the party.”
After her snog with her fellow I'm A Celeb campmate, Danny said: “I want to apologise to my wife and family.
"I love them so much. We’ll deal with this privately.”
Meanwhile, Danny Dyer picked up best male performance in a comedy and Ruth Jones was seen with James Corden, after winning best female performance in a comedy.
Claudia Winkleman was in high spirits with husband Kris Thykier, despite The Traitors being snubbed.
Maura is set to fly out to Fiji next month to host US Love Island’s sister show After Sun.
