NETFLIX has released a trailer for fantasy thriller Locke & Key - which tracks a bereaved family who are terrorised by a demonic house.
The series has been created by The Haunting of Hill House's Meredith Averill and Carlton Cuse, who is behind hit shows including Lost and Bates Motel.
As the trailer begins, a voice says: "Keyhouse is filled with amazing keys, listen for them, they whisper."
Bode finds the first one and leaves his body as he steps through the door, triggering his siblings to find more keys and see where they lead.
A creepy female voice is heard saying: "You woke me up, you have no idea what's coming.
As fans are given glimpses of the action, one of the characters has a realisation about the keys saying: "These aren't toys, they're weapons."
But as the trailer comes to an end, a male voice warns: "Whatever you think you understand about those keys...you don't."
The official synopsis reads: "After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father's death.
"As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.
"The series is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakeable bonds that define family."
